This ensures that even if someone has access to your unlocked iPhone or iPad, they cannot open the Mailfence app without biometric authentication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-requirements\">Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>iPhone or iPad running&nbsp;<strong>iOS 18<\/strong>&nbsp;or later<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Face ID or Touch ID enabled on your device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mailfence mobile app installed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-enable-face-id-touch-id-for-mailfence\">How to enable Face ID \/ Touch ID for Mailfence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. On your home screen,&nbsp;<strong>long-press<\/strong>&nbsp;the Mailfence app icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Tap&nbsp;<strong>Require Face ID<\/strong>&nbsp;(or&nbsp;<strong>Require Touch ID<\/strong>&nbsp;on devices with Touch ID).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.  A prompt will appear with the following options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Require Face ID \/ Touch ID<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The app will require biometric authentication to open.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kb.mailfence.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/enable-lock-mailfence-app-576x1024.png\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hide and Require Face ID \/ Touch ID<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The app will be hidden from your home screen and moved to a hidden folder in your App Library. Some brands (such as Samsung, OnePlus, and Xiaomi) offer built-in app lock features in their settings.
