How do I import OpenPGP keypair(s) and other public keys?

To import an OpenPGP key pair or a public key, go to your account Settings -> Messages -> Encryption:

For Importing a Key pair/Personal key:

import openpgp personal and public key
Click on Add Personal key.

Click on Import a key.

Copy/Paste the armored key text and click on Import
OR
Click on Import from file (ASCII-armoured version).

By importing the Key pair/Personal key, you consent to make its public key (including e-mail address and name) available on our Web Key Directory server. This only applies to keys associated with mailfence.com domain name.

For Importing a Public key:

import openpgp personal and public key
Click on Add Public key
import openpgp personal and public key
Click on Import a key OR
You can add key using a public key server.

Copy/Paste the armored key text and click on Import
OR
Click on Import from file (ASCII-armoured version).

Mailfence does not allow sending end-to-end encrypted email to recipient address(es) with revoked/expired OpenPGP public keys.

Moreover, you can export OpenPGP keypairs and other public keys.

Make sure to add the right OpenPGP public key by verifying it’s fingerprint.

If you still are not able to import an OpenPGP key pair or other public key, please send us an email to support@mailfence.com (PGP key).
