Will the sender be able to keep a copy of an email thread that is password encrypted?

In case an expiry date has been given the sender will not be able to keep a copy. After the expiration of the link, the message will not be accessible to either the sender or the recipient.

However, in theory – you can always archive a given message thread by making local copies before the password expires.
